CCTV Installation in Nairobi: Cameras That Are Useful in Court

Most CCTV is useless at the moment it matters

The common failure is not a broken camera. It is footage that shows something happened without showing who. A wide shot covering a whole compound gives you a figure of about forty pixels: enough to know there was a person, useless for identifying one.

We design for identification at the points that matter (gates, doors, the parking area) and accept wider, lower-detail coverage elsewhere. That trade-off is the entire craft of this work.

What we install

  • IP camera systems with recording on site, and off-site or cloud backup where you want it
  • Identification-grade coverage at entry points, overview coverage across compounds
  • Correct low-light performance: most incidents in Nairobi happen after dark, and a camera that produces a white bloom around a security light is worthless
  • Backup power, so the system survives the outage that often accompanies an incident
  • Cabling in conduit, not stapled along a wall where it can be cut in seconds

Retention

Retention is the setting that gets quietly reduced to make a small drive last. If you discover an incident a week later and the system holds four days, you have nothing. We size storage for the retention you actually want and tell you what it costs rather than defaulting it down.

Where cameras should not go

We will not install cameras overlooking a neighbour’s property or a public thoroughfare in a way that creates a problem for you. Where a viewing angle is questionable we will say so and adjust it.

Other things we do

Power fault in Nairobi? Call before you touch the board.

We answer 24 hours a day and aim to have an EPRA-licensed electrician with you within 90 minutes across central Nairobi.

If anything is sparking, smoking or wet, switch off at the mains first and do not touch the board.
